Extraordinary destinations. Unforgettable moments:-
Amazon | Antarctic Peninsula | Costa Rica | Caribbean
South America
An 87-night Grand Voyage through the Amazon, Antarctic Peninsula, Central America and the Caribbean – few journeys bring together landscapes as dramatically diverse as these.
For the first time in nine years, we’re returning to the Amazon, where Borealis sails beyond the coastline and into one of the world’s greatest waterways. As the only cruise line sailing there from the UK, this is a rare opportunity to experience the region without flying, with rainforest-lined riverbanks, colourful riverside communities revealing a different side of South America, and the opportunity to spot elusive wildlife and vibrant birdlife.
Then comes Antarctica. Vast, silent and awe-inspiring, the Antarctic Peninsula offers unforgettable scenic cruising among towering glaciers and drifting icebergs. There’s also the chance to spot extraordinary wildlife, including penguins, seals and whales.
Along the way, discover vibrant cities such as Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, explore Costa Rica’s tropical wildlife and enjoy island-hopping through the Caribbean, with each destination adding another layer to this wide-ranging adventure.
Throughout it all, life on board Borealis is every bit as rewarding as the destinations themselves, with expert speakers, welcoming service and unhurried days designed to help you enjoy every moment of the journey.

Why cruise to the Amazon?
Sailing the Amazon isn’t about ticking off sights, it’s about being present and enjoying each moment as it unfolds. Along the way, you can look forward to:
Exploring deep in the rainforest – watch the landscape change from open water to forest-lined riverbanks
Wildlife encounters – from colourful birdlife to pink river dolphins, often visible from the comfort of your deck
Insights into local life – with opportunities to explore riverside communities, markets and traditions shaped by life along the river
Unhurried days – where the focus is on the journey itself, not just the destination
Distinctive moments – including the Meeting of Waters, where two rivers flow side by side without mixing
Why cruise to Antarctica?
Sailing to the Antarctic Peninsula is a chance to see a world that feels untouched, where vast landscapes, remarkable wildlife and quiet moments stay with you long after you return home.
This remote region offers several memorable moments, including:
Unspoilt, ever-changing scenery – from towering icebergs to snow-covered peaks and wide horizons
Wildlife in its natural habitat – including penguins, seals and whales, which you can spot from Borealis
A real sense of remoteness – far from the everyday, with time to pause and take it all in
